2017 Cyber Week Infographic
Hear that jingle? It’s not a holiday song. In fact, it’s more like “cha-ching” — the sound of record Cyber Week sales achieved in 2017. Online sales totaled $19.6 billion over the five-day period between Thanksgiving Day and Cyber Monday. That’s up 15.2% year over year. More than 174 million Americans shopped in stores and online during Cyber Week, beating the National Retail Federation’s estimate by 100 million shoppers. The top two days consumers shopped online were Cyber Monday with more than 81 million and Black Friday with more than 66 million. Millennials were among the big spenders at $419.52. And, mobile once again soared, remaining the de facto platform for Cyber Week purchases.
